Suzuki String School of Guelph (Canada) & SAH Collaboration

Suzuki String School of Guelph (Canada) & SAH Collaboration

This year’s big project for our Suzuki community is linked to the Suzuki String School of Guelph (SSSG) from Ontario, Canada, led by Dean Marshall. SAH and SSSG will be collaborating in two events. 1) a collaborative, informal play-in group event open to all students, and 2) a recital, performing an arrangement of Long Long Ago.
Dean Marshall has written a piece especially for this event, an arrangement of Long Long Ago. Local students may choose any part to prepare, memorize, and play. You may play either or both performances, but you must come to the Saturday, March 9 rehearsal to participate.

The PLAY-IN Group Event is scheduled for:
Saturday, March 9: 1:15-1:45pm at Studio 909 in the Musicians Association. (949 Kapiolani Blvd)
Violin, Viola and Cello are welcome to attend this short event, scheduled before the Mandatory Collaboration Rehearsal.

Long Long Ago REHEARSALS are scheduled for:
Saturday, January 27: 3:30-4:30pm at Iolani School
Sunday, March 3: 3:30-4:30pm (location TBD)
Saturday, March 9: 2-3pm at Studio 909 in the Musicians Association. (949 Kapiolani Blvd) *MANDATORY*

(chose one or both):
Sunday, March 10: 4-5pm at Kawaiahao Church (arrive at 3pm for sound check)

PARTICIPATION:
