Cavani String Quartet Residency


The Cavani Quartet, one of the finest professional quartets in the country and a leader in arts education, will return to Honolulu this Spring to coach orchestra classes and advanced student quartets, demonstrate rehearsal techniques, and lead group classes. They will offer two FREE public concerts.

1)
"Team up with Music" Mini-Concert -  a free performance designed especially for families and young children, but all are welcome
Saturday, March 2, 10:00-10:50am at Iolani School, Castle Building (FREE)


2)
Cavani Quartet Final Concert - Formal Concert (FREE)
Sunday March 3, 4:30pm at Iolani School, Seto Hall. 
(Ensemble Students arrive at 3:15pm, students play pre-concert music from 3:45-4:15pm)

As part of their residency here, the members of the Cavani Quartet will teach ensemble classes on Saturday, March 2 at Iolani School (Castle Building). Open to all violin and cello students, three different levels. Each group will work on an assigned piece (see brochure PDF for more information) on Saturday morning, and the ensemble will perform before the Cavani Quartet's final concert on Sunday afternoon.

10:00 - 10:50am    “Team Up With Music” Mini-Concert : FREE Concert and open to the community
11:00- 11:50am    Ensemble Class C
